GLITZ! Opening March 1st.

Glitz is a new club opening soon on the Glitterati sim. I’ve missed hanging out in clubs but I always feel a bit awkward going to them – walking in, getting ignored, then if I tip anyone I get to third base with Hugetits0982435 Resident. Fuuuuun.

So now Glitz is happening. It won’t be like that. Our dancers will be fun and friendly and cute. If you tip them, they’ll just thank you. Our events will be themed and we hope you have as much fun dressing up for them as we do. They will run from 12pm – 8pm, Monday to Sunday.

Working at Glitz will be so much fun, too. We have a weekly staff meeting to get together and relax a bit, meet new staff, and new dancers who have completed our short training programme will “graduate” in front of everyone. Then we can all head over to the club together :)

DJs can either hop onto the schedule, or stay as a backup. Dancers need to sign up to host one two hour event per week, but other than that you can come and go as you please. We don’t want to make working at Glitz a requirement, or an extension of your busy RL. It’s meant to be fun and something that helps you relax. We get that, and we want to encourage you and widen your SL a little.

The project has been coming together for about a month now and we’re all having so much fun getting to know each other, but we’re definitely still hiring and probably always will be, so please do get in touch with the following people if you’d like to join our team!

We now have applications on Marketplace just for ease of delivery, so if you’d like to grab them, this is the quickest way. Find them here. But I know you might like to speak to someone directly.

If you’d like to be a dancer, IM Sabra Karu. She’s the dancer manager, and she’s responsible for interviewing, training and looking after you.

If you’re a DJ or musician and you’d love to fill our airwaves, Inuoko Shikami is your girl – and DJ Manager. She’ll interview you, listen to you, and get you onto the schedule, and if something comes up and you can’t make a shift, she’s got your back.

If either of those two are taking their thirty minutes a week of sleep and aren’t online, try Meldina Ashbourne – she’s the General Manager and she mops up spills and pats peoples hands and yells at me if I get stuff wrong, so like 90 times a day then really.

I know this has been long but I hope you’ve stuck with me. Glitz is going to be so much fun. It’ll probably never be the biggest club in SL, but that’s ok – it’ll definitely be the nicest place to be.

Credit gift FAQ

Hello all :)

I give up… I surrender… I can’t deal with any more IMs about this. I apologise in advance if I have come off as rude, but I am one person, and I’m trying to give you guys a gift, not sign up for a week of hell.

If your question isn’t covered here, please feel free to IM me about it. However, I won’t be responding any further to IMs inworld when the answers are already below.

It’s telling me I already collected it?

Yes, you can only collect ONE gift, so please make sure to wear your VIP tag if you’re a VIP or the free to join group tag otherwise.

How do I collect it?

Just go to the store, and click the poster wearing a group tag.

My credit balance says it’s 0.

SL takes a minute, please be patient. Lots of people have already spent their credit – it works, I promise.

I already joined the group but it’s not an inworld group so I don’t have a tag to wear.

That’s the subscriber. It’s different, and you need to join the inworld group for it to work. Don’t worry, you can drop the group afterwards if you want.

Can I give the credit to someone else?

No but you can TP them!

I accidentally left the VIP group, could I please have an invite?

If you can provide transaction history of you joining the VIP group, yes. If not, please accept my apologies, this is a common request from people who have never been members, so I need to be vigilant :)

Again, I apologise if this seems at all rude. I have been drowning in IMs. I’ve spent the last 96 hours being asked the same question, hundreds and hundreds of times. The answers are available in notices, on the front page of my profile, in my autoresponse, in the groups, and on this website. I don’t know what else I can do. If this post doesn’t help, I’m going to close the sim for a while to give myself a break.

All I’m trying to do is give my customers a gift. Please, please stop torturing me for it.
